Mr. P.s. Nathan graduated in chemical engineering (b.e.) From annamalai University in 1961. He has served in a private organization at bombay in the field of Design engineering, project management and execution till 1963. In the year 1963, He promoted the partnership firm indian engineering (works) corporation having its Head office at bombay to cater the market of industrial water treatment systems and Other allied industrial systems. The company has been subsequently shifted to Chennai in the year 1981 and converted into iec fabchem limited in the year 1995.
He has indigenously developed chlorination plants for cooling water treatment In power plants in india when the technology was being imported. He Subsequently developed process and equipment design and successfully Commissioned various systems in power plants, fertilizers, paper and chemical Industries.
He has extensively traveled in europe for updating the technology and in the year 1981 shifted the main manufacturing and marketing unit from bombay to madras. The indigenous expertise developed by him over the years in the field has saved Considerable foreign exchange.
Being actively involved in the research & development in the field of chlorination For power plants, he has successfully developed a typical modular cell design for Electrolytic chlorination for which patent is pending. This typical development will Eventually help the common man to get sanitation / dis-infection requirements of his Drinking water under safe environment at affordable price.
He was instrumental in getting a break through order for state of art, first time in India the country’s largest sea water based electro chlorination system at Simhadri thermal power station. This system enables bio-fouling control in power Plant without the risk of polluting the environment.
RAJKUMAR SURIYAPRAKASH, Director.
Mr. Rajkumar suriyaprakash has Graduated in Mechanical Engineering (B.E.) at Coimbatore Institute of Technology, Coimbatore in the year 1987 from Bharathiyar University.
He joined Indian Engineering (Works) Corpn. – A Company engaged in manufacturing of Industrial Systems for Power Plants during June 1987 as Project Engineer. In 1989 he was promoted as Project Manager. Since 1991 he was designated as the Works Manager and was in charge of manufacturing activities of the Company. He is serving as Director in IEC Fabchem Limited since incorporation at 1995.
He has designed and developed a new generation emergency kit, which is very important safety equipment for all toxic gas handling plants. The safety device was well received by industries owing to its uniqueness and simplicity in operation during emergency gas leak scenario.
Being actively involved in the Research & Development in the field of chlorination, as a co-inventor, he has successfully developed a typical modular cell design for electrolytic chlorination for which patent is pending. This typical development will eventually help the common man to get sanitation / dis-infection requirements of his drinking water / environment at affordable price.
Also for defense projects he has developed numerous import substitutions such as tapping valves for titanium sponge and chlorine gas extraction and cooling system for defense purpose. He was instrumental in Design & implementation of countries first and largest state of art, sea water based electro chlorination plant for Simhadri Thermal Power Station at Vizag, Andra Pradesh. This plant enables power plant bio-fouling control without any impact to the environment.
He has actively taken part in the national seminar conducted by Loss Prevention Association of India and presented papers on Toxic gas handling & safety in power plant and industries in the year 2001.
He has presented Technical papers on Environmental management in a power plant for a National level seminar conducted at Lanco Kondapalli Power Limited at Vijayawada, A.P. during November’2003.
